A journey between dream and reality, hope and despair. The Promise is the story about Ava, who becomes separated from her husband Teo in a concentration camp. After the war she is determined to find him. We follow her in her search across war-torn, traumatised Europe, backed by a magnificent chorus and the invincible power of love. The Promise is based on real events.

Michael sings the role Samuel and in the Royal Opera Chorus, also covering the role Josef.
